Dr Joel Barnes
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the University of Queensland, working on the Australian arm of the Science and Religion: Exploring the Spectrum project. In 2018–20, I was Research Associate on a project on the history of Australian humanities institutions in the Australian Centre for Public History at the University of Technology Sydney, where #HATMAus was born. I’m generally interested in histories of ideas, knowledge and institutions.

The ACPH is the home of history at UTS, and promotes the practice and discipline of history to the wider public. During the work-from-home period brought on by COVID-19, the ACPH produced a series of conversations and seminars between historians and GLAM professionals (and which included the Movies on Mondays conversations originally aligned with #HATMAus). You can find the entire archive of Public History Hour videos here.
